The Ravenous garden is closed for the winter
December 07, 2015ByDavid Toal
Ravenous strives to use local farm to table ingredients whenever possible, which is why we pride ourselves on our vast gardens and orchards. As the snow falls on the ground and the last of our plants go into hibernation for the winter we reflect on how great the 2015 growing season was. There's nothing like being able to walk outside and cut a fresh batch of chives, or pick some squash right off the vine and this season was perfect for that.
Though the garden and orchard are bare now, we're excited to be reviewing seed catalogs and planning for an even better produce year. This April will bring forth new planting of fruits, vegetables, and herbs, and we're counting down the days until we get to pick that first fresh tomato!
